presented to Eric Young |
|
The Southeastern Theatre
Conference welcomes applications for the William E. Wilson
Scholarship. The award, named for longtime SETC member and
patron William "Bill" Wilson, supports a secondary school
teacher who is pursuing a graduate degree in theatre or
speech and theatre.
Applicants must be legal
residents of a state in the SETC region, and must have at
least one year of experience as a full-time teacher and
director of theatre in regionally accredited secondary school
in the SETC region. The award recipient must enroll in a
regionally accredited graduate program within one year of
being selected for the scholarship.
The Wilson award is made possible
by a $100,000 endowment given by its namesake in support
of secondary school theatre educators across the southeast.
It is a dream come true for contributor Wilson, and for
many future recipients. The Southeastern Theatre Conference
extends its heartfelt thanks to Wilson for his vision and
support of secondary school theatre.
The application deadline of January 15, 2008 has now passed.
