FoodPlay Productions is casting FoodPlay, an Emmy-Award-winning, fun-filled nutrition theater show featuring amazing juggling, colorful characters, motivating messages, music, magic, and audience participation to help children learn how to take charge of growing up healthy and fit. Rehearsals in August, Performances run September thru December at schools in the Middle to Eastern US. Pay, travel, lodging, and some meals provided.

Seeking – Coach: male or female with an energetic physicality. Must be willing to learn basic juggling. Janey/Johnny: male or female with a background in juggling, youthful appearance and energy. Advanced juggling and other special skills a plus. Must be proficient in basic juggling and willing to learn some tricks. Both actors must be able to present a good role model for young children, have a strong speaking voice, great stage presence and an interest in working with children. The Clarence Brown Theatre at the University of Tennessee, seeks an experienced Cutter/Draper for a full-time position. Build periods span from approximately mid July thru mid April and include 9 shop supported shows. Individual will work closely with Costume Designers including Guest, Resident, and Student Designers. The Cutter/Draper reports to the Costume Shop Supervisor and works with a staff of professional costumers, graduate assistants, and undergraduate lab students. Primary responsibilities include patterning and cutting of costumes, attending fittings for built garments, directing garment assembly, supervising work flow of built garments, and providing yardage estimates. Other duties include some stitching, crafts, and general costume maintenance. Five day work week with some evening and weekend hours required. Salary based on experience.

POSITION TITLE:             Instructor/Assistant Professor of Theatre in the Department of Communication Arts. This is a                                            ten-month, non-tenure track faculty position beginning August 1, 2008. Appointment is for the                                            2008-09 academic year only.


RESPONSIBILITIES:         Teaching undergraduate courses in costume design, costume history, costume construction and                                             make-up. Other areas of teaching may include costume crafts, voice and diction, and theatre                                             courses related to the general education core. Design or oversee the design and construction or                                             rental of costumes for a seven-show theatre and dance season. Manage the costume shop.
